110 Methyl Vinyl Gum
DESCRIPTION
It is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as toluene. It has excellent properties such as small compression deformation and resistance to saturated vapor pressure. It can be used to manufacture high and low temperature resistant sealing materials, waterproof, moisture-proof and insulating materials in aviation, machinery, chemical industry and other industries. Due to its physiological inertia, it can be used to manufacture artificial organs and medical rubber tubes in medical devices, as well as raw materials for high-temperature silicone rubber.

FEATURES
Viscosity: Silicone gums like this typically have a high molecular weight, which results in a high-viscosity, gum-like consistency at room temperature.
Thermal Stability: Silicone polymers are known for their excellent thermal stability, maintaining their properties over a wide temperature range, often from -50°C to +200°C or higher.
Chemical Resistance: They are generally resistant to chemicals, water, and oxidation, which makes them suitable for harsh environments.
Elasticity: When cured, these polymers form elastomers that are flexible and have good recovery properties after deformation.
UV and Ozone Resistance: Silicone polymers are resistant to ultraviolet light and ozone, which contributes to their durability and longevity, especially in outdoor applications.
Versatility: The vinyl groups in the polymer structure allow for crosslinking with various curing agents, which can be used to tailor the mechanical and physical properties of the final cured product.
APPLICATIONS
1. Sealants and Adhesives: Due to its excellent adhesion and flexibility, vinyl methyl silicone gum is often used in the formulation of silicone sealants and adhesives. These products are used in construction, automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods to create durable, weather-resistant seals and bonds.
2. Mold Making: The material is also used in making flexible molds for casting a variety of materials, including concrete, plaster, and various resins. Its flexibility and non-stick properties make it ideal for this application, as it allows for easy demolding without damaging the cast parts.
3. Medical Devices: Silicone gums are used in the healthcare industry to manufacture a range of medical devices. Their biocompatibility makes them suitable for applications such as tubing, catheters, and other implantable devices.
4. Electronic and Electrical Insulation: The electrical insulating properties of silicone gums make them suitable for use in electronics and electrical applications. They can be used to encapsulate and protect sensitive components from moisture, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
